Latimers Charity Choir Concert

 

Thank you everyone who supported our fundraising event – we hope you all enjoyed as much as we did!

The choir really enjoyed the night and it seemed the audience did too, joining in with the more well known traditional carols between mouthfuls of bacon sandwiches, chips and slurps of Latimers Crab & Whiskey Soup (the audience that was – not the choir).

Excellently sourced and read readings again with the reading by Choir mistress Christine regarding the 12 days of turkey going down particularly well while our good listeners quietly munched through platefuls of Christmas cake and mince pies.

2014’s date has already eagerly been pencilled in the choirs diary (written in indelible ink in Organist’s Steven’s diary to ensure he will not doubled booked himself). Much nearer the time we will release the date – don’t forget all are welcome.

The night raised a fantastic £420 which the choir has split between the Children’s Society, Save the Children and the Whitburn Parish Church Choir.  Thanks to all involved for their help and support.
